Frequently Asked Questions

How long does treatment last?

Treatment length depends on individual needs and the program level. Medical detox typically lasts 3 to 7 days. Residential treatment ranges from 30 to 90 days. Our outpatient programs (IOP/PHP) generally run 2 to 12 weeks. Your clinical team will work with you to determine the optimal duration for your recovery.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept most major insurance plans including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Magellan, Tricare, Medicare, and Medi-Cal. Our admissions team will verify your coverage and explain your benefits before you arrive. Call (628) 280-6628 for a free insurance verification.

Is detox medically supervised?

Absolutely. Our detox program provides 24/7 physician and nursing supervision. Our medical team monitors vital signs, manages withdrawal symptoms, and administers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when clinically appropriate to ensure your safety and comfort throughout the detox process.

Can I visit the facility before admitting?

Yes, we welcome prospective patients and their families to visit our campus at 1607 Haight St in San Francisco. Facility tours can be arranged by contacting our admissions team. We want you to feel confident and comfortable before beginning treatment at our center.

Do you treat co-occurring mental health disorders?

Yes. Our dual diagnosis program provides integrated treatment for substance use disorders alongside co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. We believe in treating the whole person, not just the addiction.

Can my family be involved in treatment?

Family involvement is an important part of recovery. We offer family therapy sessions, family education workshops, and designated visitation times. We also provide resources and support for family members navigating a loved one's addiction.
